1. Who we are
This policy describes how EnhaneCV, 230 South College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716, United States (telephone +1 743 232 4662, email info@enhanecv.com), which operates enhanecv.com, handles personal data. For the processing described here, EnhaneCV is the data controller. Privacy questions can be sent to the address above or to Volen Vulkov, Founder & CEO, at tech@enhanecv.com.
2. The short version
- The resume editor needs no account. Your resume is saved in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers.
- When you use an AI action, the text needed for that action is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the suggestion. We do not keep a copy, and it is not used to train models.
- We don't sell personal data, run advertising, or use third-party analytics or tracking cookies.
3. What we process
Resume content in the editor. Stored only in your browser (local storage) on your device. You can delete it at any time with “Start blank” or by clearing your browser data. We cannot see it unless you send it with an AI action.
AI requests. When you click Import, Enhance, Draft summaries, Tailor or Review, we send the relevant content — for example a bullet point, your resume text, an uploaded PDF, or a job posting you pasted — to Anthropic to produce the result, and return it to your browser. We do not store the request or the result on our servers.
Usage limits. To enforce the daily limit on free AI edits we count requests per IP address in server memory. The count is reset daily and is not written to a database.
Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply, and forward it to our business inbox.
Server and security logs. Our hosting and our CDN/security provider, Cloudflare, record technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
4. Why we process it (legal bases)
We process AI requests and contact messages to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract, or steps at your request before one). We process logs and usage counts for security and abuse prevention (legitimate interests). Where the law requires consent, we ask for it.
5. Who we share it with
Only with service providers acting on our behalf and only as needed to run the service:
- Anthropic, PBC — AI model provider that processes AI requests. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — content delivery and security.
- Our hosting provider — servers that run the site and receive contact messages.
We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Retention
AI requests: not retained by us after the response is returned. Usage counts: reset every 24 hours. Contact messages: kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. Server logs: kept for up to 30 days. Data in your browser stays until you remove it.
7. International transfers
We and our providers process data in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. Email info@enhanecv.com or use the contact form. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to our servers is limited to the people who run them. Because the editor keeps your resume on your own device, anyone with access to that browser can see it — use a private device or clear the editor when you're done.
10. Children
EnhaneCV is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes and, for material changes, add a notice on the site before they take effect. See also our Cookie Policy and Terms of Service.
